Ukrainian
Institute of Agricultural Radiology is a
division of National University of Life and Environmental Sciences of
Ukraine. The institute origins started in
1986 with establishing the Ukraine Branch of the All-Union Institute of
Agricultural Radiology as a response to the accident at the Chernobyl nuclear
power plant. In 1991 Ukrainian Institute of
Agricultural Radiology was established at the basis of the UB AUIAR.
The aim of the
Institute’s activity is to perform researches in the field of ecology and to
work on the problems related to the consequences of Chornobyl accident in
agricultural production.
Now the Institute
is the leading executor of the State program on elimination of consequences of ChNPP accident in the "Agricultural radiology"
part.
Specialisation : Agricultural Radiology . Institute is the
leading research institution in the problems of
agricultural radiology, the author of
the standard-and-methodical base
for implementation of countermeasures during the elimination
of consequences of ChNPP accident.
Technical
equipment: analytical laboratories, measuring
instruments, experimental polygons, personal
computers, transport.
